#51 `fedpkg container-build` says "malformed task"
Closed by ankursinha. Opened by ankursinha.

  • Describe the issue
When trying to build a container image with fedpkg container-build, koji says "malformed task", and then nothing really seems to happen.
    This is the repo: https://src.fedoraproject.org/container/compneuro
This is an example build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=69777827
Could someone please take a look to see if this is an issue with the build system (or if something has changed in the container specification?)

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    Whenever convenient please

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    NA

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
We will not be able to build container images.

Since I am not sure if this is a build-system issue or something with the the container repo that I've got here, I've also filed it with releng here: https://pagure.io/releng/issue/10161

I'm also hitting the same issue for https://src.fedoraproject.org/container/libguestfs , example: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=69782242

Same issue with a rawhide build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=69782876 which is also remaining stuck, as compared to yesterday when it was failing: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=69735082

I have a similar issue in python3 container for f34: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=71566845

The error message is: Image build failed. Error in plugin orchestrate_build: {"aarch64": {"general": "Could not find appropriate cluster for worker build."}}. OSBS build id: python3-f34-d9860-3

I think the initial issue was fixed on the infra side. @lbalhar : it's probably best to file a new issue with infra. They're not looking at the tickets here. I'll close this one.
