From 1c6611e7b86ddc341f20c572fefb54d46e9f537a Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Justin Wheeler Date: Nov 11 2025 11:25:16 +0000 Subject: 📝 docs(project): Update communication channels listed in CoC This commit addresses feedback that came up in a Fedora Discussion topic about whether Telegram groups are official or unofficial. The Code of Conduct was written at a time when we were only beginning to use Matrix more formally in the project. Since the time that the Code of Conduct was published, we have now shifted completely to Fedora Discussion and Fedora Chat/Matrix as our official chat platforms, as verified by the Communications page. It might be more wise to link out to the Communications page in the Project docs, but for now, this commit addresses an important clarification about where the Code of Conduct is more rigidly applied and where it is more challenging to enforce. ref: https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/the-status-of-the-telegram-groups-within-the-project/172185/13 Signed-off-by: Justin Wheeler --- diff --git a/project/modules/code-of-conduct/pages/index.adoc b/project/modules/code-of-conduct/pages/index.adoc index 0cc813a..c769ff6 100644 --- a/project/modules/code-of-conduct/pages/index.adoc +++ b/project/modules/code-of-conduct/pages/index.adoc @@ -68,7 +68,7 @@ Examples of acting as a community member include: * Posting to a Fedora mailing list, * Filing a bug with Fedora, -* Participating in an official Fedora communication channel, such as IRC or telegram +* Participating in official Fedora communication channels (i.e. Fedora Discussion, Fedora Chat/Matrix) * Contributing to the Fedora Project in any form * Using an official project email address * Posting via an official social media account
