#8 [X]Request for Linux.Conf.Au budget
Closed: Invalid Opened by asmartgoat.

Hello,
I have no where to place a request as all of the funding for this event comes directly from Red Hat to the Red hat employees in Brisbane. And the FAmSCo trac has a bug that prevents me from asking there.

I am requesting funding for travel from Adelaide to Brisbane, to help run the booth at LCA. (29th of January 2011)
I am estimating a cost of;
$130 adelaide to brisbane (apprx.)
$120 brisbane to adelaide (apprx.)
$150 two nights accommodation.
A total of '''$400''' for the event

I hope to get the opportunity to promote Fedora at this event.
Thankyou,

(note that the US dollar is the same as the Australian dollar at the time of writing)

I'll buy the tickets as soon as i get confirmation that this is accepted.

We would like to know what exactly the plans are at LCA. Money would not be a problem, but we need to know how fedora is going to benefit from this.

Also, let me know what is the bug that is keeping you from FAmSCo trac. I shall take a look into it.

Thanks.

Find the trac error attached, no matter what i do that comes up...

Anyway,
Its being organized by red hat employees mostly, so most of it wont need funding from here. I'll grab what i was told by email.

"
Basically we're planning to have a booth showcasing Fedora - some of the activities include an OLPC display, a 'Live USB Creator' session, a raffle draw etc. We're also looking into organising swagbags with Fedora cheat cubes, badges etc, based on designs from the Fedora marketing collateral."

Its still 2 months away, I'll add more info when i get it.

Luke Martinez

Thanks for the info.
Max, can you please look into this?

Hi, I've got some more info on the event.

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/LCA_2011 and a planned fad
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FAD_@_Brisbane_2011

Spevack has previously commented that things below 500USD are defaulted to yes, so just go ahead and do this, assume you have to comply with the reimbursement guidelines.

Note: there are 2 people on this flight, only $245 needs to be reimbursed.

Family emergency, looks like buying cheap tickets was a bad idea, i can't get a refund.

No reimbursement necessary..

Thanks,
luke
