Hi,
I am a really old-time RedHat/Fedora user and promoter, who is now looking to re-establish his membership into the ambassadors group. I was quite active during the 2000-2005 period, then kind of dropped off the radar as far as the ambassadors group goes. However, i did continue promoting fedora and distributing DVD's wherever i went, including my clients and at a number of colleges where we provided FOSS services. Now that i am looking at going into the education sector, i believe the time has come for me to renew my formal status so that i can more effectively present fedora and its benefits.
So, i am now looking for a mentor to take me through the fedora Ambassadors Group Membership process, and seem to be at a loss since the fedora-india trac wiki is inactive, and the APAC ticketing system does not seem to have a category for mentoring requests. I do hope one of the trac admins here can figure ot where this ticket is supposed to go, and direct it there.

Hi Rajeev, I'm sorry about the delay in responding to your ticket.
From your wikipage, I can make out you're from India.
All Indians go through their ambassador process through Kushal[1]. In general, he tries to see how active you are in the community, and your involvement in other groups (tickets you've taken up for eg, or whatever the equivalent in your group of interest is).
So, make sure you have links to show about your involvement and write to Kushal about it. Once it's established you're a good contributor, Kushal approves and starts the mentorship process[2].

I'll mark this ticket as resolved for now; if things work out, you'll have a ticket in the apac ambassadors trac.
Thank you and good luck!
