I see that in commit 9a75d1a (" Updated supported boards list, added new boards and symlinks, updated list-targets.py.") the 'am335x_boneblack' entry was removed from SUPPORTED-BOARDS, unfortunately the commit message (ok there isn't one) fails to mention why.
Also for the last couple of releases or so the Fedora Arm install images no longer carry the BBB U-Boot images.
So is it simply that the BBB is no longer officially supported or was it removed erroneously?
You should use am335x_evm, it deals with all variants of the BeagleBone
