#265 cephadm build tagged by mistake in the octopus tag
Closed: Fixed by fmount. Opened by fmount.

A build for cephadm -pacific ( cephadm-16.1.0-4.el8) was tagged by mistake in the octopus repo (
storage8-ceph-octopus-(candidate|testing|release), causing issues when ceph bits are consumed via CI.
I already untagget the build [1], but it's still on the -octopus repo.

Can you help me removing that package?

can you give more info , like where was it included ? (buildlogs or mirror.c.o) and so we can take action. But if you used untag-buildit should have removed it

like, I don't see it under https://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/8/storage/x86_64/ceph-octopus/Packages/c/
nor http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8/storage/x86_64/ceph-octopus/Packages/c/
So can you describe the issue ?

Hey @arrfab, thanks for the quick reply.
You're right, I don't see that package anymore, and on my lab the correct one is returned [1].
Let me double check and confirm it again on the OpenStack CI, then we can close the issue.

Thanks for your support.

Looks like it untagging the build was enough, it's not there and the OpenStack CI works as expected.
Maybe it just needed some time (the untag action) to be reflected on the mirrors.

Thanks for your quick reply and your support, and sorry for the noise.

yes, when you untag-build , it triggers the distRepo task and sign+push operation, but it takes more or less same time as for a tag-build , as it goes to main mirror, then goes to all downstream mirrors (and public ones too) so it can take some time.
Let me close this
