#440 Use a "wsl" suffix for WSL images
Closed: fixed by davdunc. Opened by peb.

The Fedora 42 WSL image has a "tar.xz" suffix. If that would be a "wsl" suffix the WSL image can be installed by double clicking in the Windows filemanager. Which is neat because it makes installing the WSL image a bit easier.

(I assume one still has to enable WSL2 on the machine first, but I did that months ago, so I can't remember anymore what I had to do for that.)

The upstream issue for this is at https://github.com/OSInside/kiwi/issues/2678.

I hope to devote some time to getting that taken care of "soon", but it might be a few weeks.

Per @jcline in today's cloud meeting, the F42 is still in the old format, but the F43 will be *.wsl as expected.
