#233 Logo for FUDCon Paris
Closed: Fixed Opened by ianweller.

I've created the base logo here: http://ianweller.fedorapeople.org/fudcon-paris-logos/

It has been the general case in the past to add location-specific design elements to each logo. This ticket is for that.

Noticed that the paris fudcod bid page on the fedora wiki uses the following logo:

That was a small contest in our local community with the following goals:
- having our designers to join your team (fail ^^)
- start communicating for this event, gathering a team
- interesting people, letting them being involved easily
- improving our bid page

This was only a draft, and we don't request that you reuse it, you're free!

We are going to start our public communication, any banner design in the way? :)

Ok, it appears that I forget to save my update on this ticket.
We found a picture that would be great: http://www.flickr.com/photos/whiternoise/4803742224/
It only needs to remove the boat at the bottom left corner.

Also, if any of you could "redraw" it to simplify it, that could be used for banners and tshirt.
Or if you've a better idea…

Cheers,

There are a lot of elements in that photo. Is there one or two items in there that i should focus on for the logo? Or we could stick with the easily identifiable Eiffel Tower as a logo?

You're right, that was only an idea.
The Eiffel Tower would works, as the "Arc de Triomphe", see [1][2]. Or the Louvre museum

FTR, here's the draft of a potentiel design :

Here's my initial take on this: http://suchakra.fedorapeople.org/fudcon-designs/Paris/ I'm not quite happy with this though. Will try for a new minimalistic design for a tee. I have vectorized Arc de Triomphe from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Arc_Triomphe.jpg

The building is really nice like that. (however the flag, not really consistent with it)

I really like this last design with the Arc de Triomphe, but like shaiton I would change a bit the flag:
- either make it rectangular as a normal flag
- or just remove it completely (although I does add some colors) (but more colors == more expensive to print!)

We suggest alternatives: [[BR]]

These are currently ideas, but we can imagine these on the t-shirt. Stay tuned. Further variations are coming from the HU designers.

2 in 1 design: Either of the designs are applicable, this is a little bit different. [[BR]]

Please provide feedback.

Thanks.

2 in 1 design updated. Fixed the FR text, and colors.

Opinions?

I like the front of the black tshirt.
But I don't understand whose head is on the back :)

@suchakra could you please provide us an update without the flag or with something that you like instead?

It will take somthing like 23 days to produce the tshirt.
Therefore, we are going to order them ASAP (like Monday would be safe).

If you've more designs to upload, pleaso do. @suchakra still waiting for yours...

Thanks for your help

Hi zoltan, we decided to print the tshirt with a black background, only printing the front side.
Could you provide us graphics for that, in svg (they also told me that .ai format is perfect, I don't know this one. and also pdf).

Just few comments, we would prefere to replace the FUDCon logo with the one provided by suchakra, but removing the flag. Could you do that?

Summary:
A front like this https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3564264/T-Shirt-black_V2.png
with http://suchakra.fedorapeople.org/fudcon-designs/Paris/fudcon-paris.svg instead (without the flag).

Also if you can add the date somwhere (like in the guidelines https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/File:Fudcon_full-date.png) that would be awesome.

Apologies for this last request, i thought to have already updated this last Monday but something goes wrong on my side.

Cheers,

Thanks to kesigomu and zoltan, we now have our final design.
Attaching them here for record.
