#306 Community promotion ad to run on Stack Exchange
Closed: Fixed Opened by mattdm.

See http://meta.unix.stackexchange.com/questions/2549/community-promotion-ads-2014. Stack Exchange runs free ads for community projects, and it'd be nice to have a Fedora one for 2014.

Requirements are:

  • The image that you create must be 220 x 250 pixels
  • Must be hosted through our standard image uploader (imgur)
  • Must be GIF or PNG
  • No animated GIFs
  • Absolute limit on file size of 150 KB

This will also include a tagline to be shown on mouseover. Someone (a community member?) made http://meta.unix.stackexchange.com/posts/1246/revisions last year. I notice that one doesn't really match the trademark guidelines.... It'd be nice to have an official one.

I'd be happy to make the post on the site, but I need one of you awesome people to make the artwork.

Here is just the vertical version of the Logo in the required dimensions.

I have also run it through optipng to make the filesize as small as possible. (~7.4Kb)

The background is also solid white, not transparent.

Is this okay, or where you after something more creative?

Given the audience of the site, i think the logo and type should be sufficient.

Yeah, this is sufficient. As always, more creative is more awesome, but we can start with this.

Followup request in ticket #324 :)

And, by the way, here is the ad on Stack Exchange. http://meta.unix.stackexchange.com/a/2825/2511
