Hi,
We were discussing how we can ease the process for people that are looking to join the Fedora community. http://whatcanidoformozilla.org/ looks pretty awesome. Could folks from the design team take a look at it and suggest modifications to it so we can have a similar instance up for Fedora?
I'm not just asking for theme changes: we could change the entire work flow really. For example, the mozilla site simply takes you to documentation once it's found the area you fit in. For Fedora though, we'd like to extend it so that it also helps the person get aboard. So, it could walk people through things like:
I've forked the source code already: https://github.com/sanjayankur31/asknot
Thanks! :) Ankur
I'm not sure exactly how at the moment (exam pressure :P), but I'm thinking how about we direct newcomers to people rather than pages, once they have completed the initial formalities? (inspired by Mo's findings + cribbings from juniors in my Uni).
Most of this functionality will be in the new "Hubs" pages that is currently being designed, so closing this one as wontfix.
