#36 Summer coding collateral: Posters and banners for rotation on fedoraproject.org front-page and in blogs
Closed: Invalid Opened by ianweller.

Requested by Karsten Wade:

For the [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Summer_coding_ideas_for_2009 Summer coding ideas for 2009] page we need to target contributors to suggest and offer to mentor specific ideas. "Contributors to generate ideas and mentor students for 2009 Summer coding projects," is a specific theme. These are the ideas that many students us to propose projects for the upcoming Google Summer of Code (GSoC); other Summer/student coding projects may use this list. We do not know yet if the Fedora Project and JBoss.org are going to be accepted for GSoC 2009. For this reason, I've been separating our general "Summer coding" work from the the GSoC work

Also on the wiki in the same section from quaid:

Target audience of students to apply to GSoC; delivering collateral to existing contributors for those who may be students and can apply to work on Fedora code for the Summer. Google will be opening the student application process soon; Fedora will have our [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Summer_coding_ideas_for_2009 Summer coding ideas for 2009] page populated with ideas and mentors by then.

In terms of this year, for the original request, we no longer need these posters and banners.

There might be some simple publicity value in doing status and success banners during and after this Summer coding session.

For that reason, I'll leave this ticket open, figuring we should close by the end of August if no one wants to pick it up. Resetting priority accordingly.

closing ticket as it was never picked up. (sorrys!)
