I think it's time to make something that moves people, and can use our new t-shirt designs. We need a proper campaign, that we can say that we are not anymore the old Fedora, and we are moving with changes to Fedora .NEXT. I would like to start a series, where we not only sending in pictures, else other marketing materials that we can freely modify, or use it behind our fedora booths. Therefore I have created the first piece that if someone likes it, he can praise or curse me - or simply create and use it if design and marketing team approves it. My purpose would be with this to reach the Makers community in first, and bind it with the name of Fedora, to have
What do you think?
Image details: - Currently it is a mockup. - The icons are completely open sourced, CC-BY_SA 3.0, it's called WPZOOM icons, witch can be freely downloaded. http://www.wpzoom.com/wpzoom/new-freebie-wpzoom-developer-icon-set-154-free-icons/ - The design is trying to be simple, and cool, and I think if you wish the message goes through with only or without the icons - Source file, and png are attached to the ticket
I would like to have only feedbacks, and reviews, so with it I can improve it.
Thank you.

Hi Zoltan!
A few things -
We do a new Fedora t-shirt design every year for Flock, so maybe we could roll this idea into this year's Flock t-shirt design?
I am not sure if the CC-BY-SA icons are a good idea, just because they require attribution - there isn't a lot of space on a t-shirt, and it might be weird to have the attribution on the t-shirt itself. I think it's better for us to create custom icons so we don't need to worry about this.
Another thing about the messaging - so the point of Fedora.next isn't really that you can make your own Fedora whatever you want. It's actually a bit the opposite - that we've gone from supplying a bucket of parts to focusing on three specific products instead.
The "make it" messaging I think would appeal more to the new Fedora labs site we're doing, which is for the functional spins - the games spin, the design spin, electronic lab spin, etc. But I don't know that we really want to be making a big marketing push for those at this time.
Fedora.next is really about having three distinct and polished products - none of which are mentioned in this concept. So I don't think it's the right concept - at least not for Fedora.next. Does that make sense?
Hi zoltan! Any thoughts on this?
Sorry for the late response, just my daily work keeps me busy. According to the first comment, yes I really would like to have a discussion about swag designs, especially for t-shirts, and would be awesome to roll this into the upcoming Flock design. Truly would be awesome to have/create the right marketing message and wear it proudly. Of course CC-BY-SA needs markings, but perhaps cc logo doesn't takes too many space, but you're right. About messaging: I really didn't thought that I can reach such meaning that "Fedora.Next is create whatever you want", so this can be my bad. Sorry for that. No, simply I would like to try to reach the Makers communities, and use as focal point. We gonna have three polished product where hackers aka makers can base their ideas, developments, and we the community are the only one that can cover with Fedora.NEXT. But Makers are also who are 3d printing, designing, drawing graphics, coding like a wizard - and this is what makes harder to express all these into a t-shirt design. I really would like to say with my design that with Fedora the user are the king/queen of creativity if you choose us, our community, and our new hubs infrastructure. Would that be useful for us? instead of a single design would be better to have 3 separate design for each product plus Labs?
Thx.
I am closing that ticket as invalid, Zoltan you should be aware how we do shirts, if the Ambassadors in the regions decide they want to spend their money to it they will decide it and THEN they will speak to design team to get a shirt motiv.
For your region the Ambassadors agreed on not doing shirts as give away anymore because of the costs, an decision I fully agree. Instead we organized TShirts for each release, which was sent to various contributors as an reward, so the people who DO something got rewarded.
Jiri questioned on the Ambassadors list, if there is somebody who wants to do this work furthermore as he got a new position inside RH you didnt step forward!
So if you want shirts get it decided by the Ambassadors region or the budget owner but nobody at the design team has the time to work on something what gets not used on end. We have not stolen our time its limited!
