Just a couple of ideas:

I just put these together very quickly, they need tweaking for sure.
I prefer the 2nd and the 4th the most, Montserrat is a bit too bulky to leave it in white over the backgorund.
I'd appreciate any feedback.

Btw, is it ok if I use F23 Scribus template instead of the ones linked as I'm still running 1.4?

@sam08 sure, use whatever template works for you!

I think #4 looks a little weird bc the bottom of the two is missing. When i first looked at it it read as "96" to me. But Monserrat's 2 and 6 seem a bit mismatched. I wonder if there is a better match for either 2 or 6 in Montserrat alternates? You could also try Open Sans?

I like 3 and 4 the best bc i like have a color in the background. I wonder if the info at the bottom would work on top of the lake reflection wo the bar and white space?

Another thing to think about.... the tree line could span fron the front to the back of the sleeve.

Conceptually also might be worth thinking about how the trees are symbolic of a sound wave. The audio the wave came from said fedora. So some kind of imposing the trees on top of the logotype or maybe clipping logotype on them? Not sure. But maybe good food for thought?

I definitely think 4 is my fav but the two needs a bottom if you want to knock this out quickly!

@sam08 today in the meeting @mleonova mentioned it might be nice for this to be consistent with the release party poster: https://pagure.io/design/issue/527

so I would think using #4, but maybe raising the text a bit so 2 is readable, and using the darker blue bg? what do you think?

@duffy I agree, Montserrat's 2 and 6 figures don't work out well together there in the background, and using different weights isn't of any help. Open Sans is even worse. I quickly mocked 8 and 9 and to me they look nice -- they may be an option to consider to be consistent with the transition from Comfortaa to Montserrat?

About the trees, I've tried to stretch them to the back of the sleeve too, but they get absolutely too tall to keep the number in the background. I'd rather mirroring the image, instead. [Stretching might work with #8/9, tho -- haven't tried yet]

5 and 10 are pretty much the same, I just raised the number and adjusted size/position of the image.
6, I came up with that almost randomly, I think it looks nice :-)
10, as you suggested I've tried using the night bg instead; I can't decide if it looks better or not, I think the darker bg makes the number and logos stand out more, but it's a bit flat compared to the other versions -- and I'm not sure those subtle textures would render well in press printing, I'm afraid they may come out purpleish.
Also, it would make more sense, imo, to keep the sleeve consistent with the default wallpaper, which is what the user will actually see on the monitor.

What do you think?

@sam08 i trust your judgment on this. Any time to finish this off?

PDFs version A -- media labels + sleeve
f26_media_verA.tar.gz

PDFs version B -- media labels + sleeve
f26_media_verB.tar.gz

@duffy i've done two versions, A is based on the comfortaa number in the background behind the trees, B is based on the bold montserrat's 26 cropping the background.
i'd go for version B, to me it looks more balanced than A, but i understand that all that white may be a bit odd for someone.
feel free to choose one and delete the other, so there's no risk to print the wrong one.
Also, please check if i've updated all the copyright dates and release numbers correctly in the legal notices -- and let me know in case there's anything else i can/should do!

@sam08 i agree, version B is amazing, you really made the white background work. We'll go with that. I'll link that one to the wiki page here:

@sam08 oh we need the disk label

@duffy didn't i put that in the tarball too? or you mean it should use the same concept the sleeve does? i thought there could only be two colours + white on that

@sam08 sorry i didnt realize that comment posted! Disk label is there and fine. Was a mistake

@sam08 I just took on a ticket for making a banner for the F26 release party (https://pagure.io/design/issue/530) and I wanted to incorporate what you put together here but I can't seem to find your SVG sources here on the ticket. Would you mind posting the SVG of the final iteration for me? Thank you!

Hi @maryshak1996, I'm so sorry, I've totally missed this.
I'm attaching here an SVG file I extracted from the print-ready PDF – please replace the bg image with the original version to avoid the previous color conversions.
