#663 Welcome to Fedora banner
Closed: Fixed by riecatnor. Opened by alciregi.

As you may know, the Fedora Join SIG is experimenting a new workflow for newcomers: https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/fedora-join-is-trying-a-new-people-focused-workflow-for-newcomers/

I was thinking to a banner to insert in some web pages, like in the readme of the pagure repository used to follow newcomers https://pagure.io/fedora-join/Welcome-to-Fedora, or in the future doc page, https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/join/

Do you think it is feasible?

I was thinking to something like this: the newcomer in the right and the community on the left with open arms welcoming the new person.

What about that?

But, what is the right font? Here I used Raleway. Out of curiosity, comfortaa is not the right one?

Hi,
Comfortaa is now used only for limited cases only, you have to prefer Montserrat font for titling.
The second one is better ( with Montserrat ) , maybe you can add the Fedora logo on the bottom corner.

This font, right?

Yes, Montserrat is the default font used by Design team. I suggest to sightly shrink the pandas and relocate the Fedora logo (smaller size) at the bottom right.

hi @alciregi can you upload the svg? I would like to take a shot at improving the design, if you are ok with that :) Thanks!

Oh sure! I didn't upload the svg of the last version.
I will do it as soon as possible.

Here it is

Whoo! @riecatnor this demonstrates the difference between a person born with an artistic spirit and a person without it 😅
I like it very much!

Thank you very much. Thanks also (in random order) to @r4ph3rd, to @luya and to @duffy for the hints.
