#723 Official website image art need update
Closed: Invalid by duffy. Opened by pany.

phenomenon

It's still F32 wallpaper on the official website after F33 released months ago.

recommendation

Please update these images.

Hi! I asked @pany to open this ticket from the Fedora users Telegram group. I know this might not be the best place to open this request, but I actually wasn't sure where best to direct this. I figured the Fedora Design team would know how to liaison or redirect this request to the right folks, since y'all rock the wallpapers every Fedora release.

Thanks!

@jflory7 @pany this isnt smtg the design team typically does. Usually the mrktg team does this?

Hey @duffy, I am clearing out my inbox on this one. I'm not sure if I have seen the Marketing Team member make a commit to the Fedora Websites repo in the last six or seven years. I could be wrong, but it might be worth figuring out who is responsible for this, because it is not the Marketing Team.

This could be an issue we take on as part of the on-going Websites & Apps Objective plans. Could we please reopen this ticket until we come to a resolution for who is responsible for this work?

It is something that haunts the Spins website as well (not specifically the wallpaper part of things but the fact that it hasn't been actively updated) and I think @duffy is right about the Design team not being the ones to address this. Instead, it would be much preferable for us (being Websites & Apps Team) to work hand in hand with the Design team to first, acquire the wallpaper and then, update it over there.

It is one of the points in the Objectives draft I think as I do remember myself putting forth the proposition of keeping the workstation, server, spins etc. websites up-to-date and working towards it would act as a progress to the fulfilment of the same. +1 to reopening the ticket to allow for discussions (or considering opening a new one if needed).
