We have permission, finally, from Legal to allow the SVG logo to be Officially Downloaded. They would like a page which contains text like this:

ACKNOWLEDGMENT FOR LOGO USE: The logos provided on this page are trademarks of Red Hat, Inc. and are provided solely for use to accurately identify Fedora or Red Hat or its products. By clicking below and downloading any logo, I agree to only use the logo in compliance with the Fedora Trademark Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal:Trademark_guidelines. I further agree never to use any logo or trademark of Red Hat in a manner that suggests that Red Hat owns, sponsors or endorses your products or services or that you own any rights in the logo or trademark.

... and then we can have a downloadable archive of the best versions of the logo files.

This could just be a wiki page, or something on docs.fedoraproject.org. So, we need:

  1. That page.
  2. The archive to put on that page, containing the various text files
  3. Documentation about the files to go in the archive

Consider providing SVG as a sheet of multiple assets and also making available individual logos in PNG format as a bundle for folks who don't want to DIY

notes from design team:

  • people who ask to use the logo are either fedora/external designers and folks who just need a copy of the logo for slides or something so keeping that in mind the different formats to provide
