for the black screen at boot issue, at least. That's a violation of "A system installed with a release-blocking desktop must boot to a log in screen where it is possible to log in to a working desktop using a user account created during installation or a 'first boot' utility." for those cases.
Mhmm, I think that for judging the blocker status we should first know which hardware and how often it is problematic. But if you think we can accept it without details, I don't object. For me, currently it is:

I agree with kparal
BetaBlocker +1 on the basis of "causes some hardware to intermittently boot to a black screen", but if we find that it's a narrow, uncommon set of hardware then I'm open to revising my vote. In any case, for the others I'm BetaFE +1
