Depending on how widespread this is, seems show stopping to me.

After reading the bug, I don't think we even know which component is at fault or what the scope of the bug is. This is too vague to block.

Yes, currently, we don't have a good picture of what the problem actually is. At the moment, I'm
FinalBlocker -1
but that can easily change, if we identify the problem and find out that many people are affected.

Whilst I appreciate it is still not fully identified, we have more information on this bug now, which might change whether or not this qualifies as a blocker.

It feels like two people with similar, but different issues (one can't reproduce on Xorg, the other can). I'm not seeing it as super widespread.

FinalBlocker -1

From the upstream AMD ticket:

I just installed kernel 6.5.6 a few hours ago and in principle the bug seems effectively resolved, so far in the time I have been browsing there has been no computer crash. If other people confirm what I say, I suppose we can consider the bug resolved.

FinalFE +1

From the upstream AMD ticket:

That's a different issue. See comments in Bugzilla.

Oops, you're probably right. Sorry for the noise.

Not to worry, there seems to be a fair overlap between this bug and a few others, whilst they do appear to be unique I would not be surprised if they were related.

Yeah, with current data I'm:
FinalBlocker -1

Discussed during the 2023-10-09 blocker review meeting: [0]

The decision to classify this bug as an "AcceptedFreezeException (Final)" was made as it is a noticeable issue that cannot be fixed with an update.
