Not sure about this. No effect on default-installed apps has been demonstrated, AFAICS?

I admit, I was a bit quick in filing this. Seeing that beta users have updates-testing enabled by default, as you explained in the bug, I'm fine with it being rejected.

Btw, what are the "default-installed apps"? Or where would I find information regarding that set of apps?

Basically, any package installed with a default deployment of any Fedora image. So, anything installed after you install one of the live images, or after you do a netinst or Server DVD install just accepting the defaults, or deploy any of the ARM disk images, etc.

Bugs in a package that's installed 'out of the box' like that are better FE candidates, especially if it seems likely someone would run the app before their first system update, or would run it in a live session.

This should be fixable with an update.

FinalFE -1

It looks like this doesn't affect any release-blocking media packages.

FinalFE -1

I don't see a need for the exception.

AGREED RejectedFinalFE

Discussed during the 2023-10-09 blocker review meeting: [0]

The decision to classify this bug as a "RejectedFreezeException (Final)" was made as there is no clear rationale for breaking the freeze to fix this. It can just be a 0-day update.
