I might be a bit biased, it's my proposal.
I believe if this is a security threat, and we have a confirmed fix, we should try to get this into the release build to reduce possible attack surface

Wow, that's a nasty security issue. It hasn't been yet classified by RH (which our criteria refer to), but depending on the classification, it might even be a blocker bug.

Agreed, I hadn't considered the live image when I raised as an FE.
@pbrobinson You need to format your message as FinalBlocker +1 or the vote is not counted. As this ticket can be used to vote for multiple different statuses, just +1 is insufficient.
