I'm assuming this means Python Classroom lab will work with Fedora 42's default python out of the box.

BetaFE +1

Python Classroom lab will work with Fedora 42's default python out of the box.

Well... yes?

This is about PyPy. The Python Classroom Lab has Python + PyPy on it. This is about changing the PyPy version from 3.10 to 3.11. Python remains at 3.13, nevertheless.

Cannot we just update regularly?

We can, but I was hoping to see the update on beta media (Python Classroom Lab), so it can be tested.

Discussed on 2025-03-03 in a blocker review meeting [1]:

!agreed 2348737 - AcceptedFreezeException (Beta) - this is accepted as a desired configuration change to a deliverable (so can't be done with an update) which looks like it can't break anything else
