A big size increase happened between June 13 and 16. Workstation WG is OK with bumping max size to wave this through.

Except for the initramfs size increase, I don't think we're aware of any additional details. If someone wants to poke at it, it's definitely very welcome.
I'm not seeing that an affected dracut was available in this time frame. So I think the increase is something other than the initramfs size on the ISO. But yeah proving this would take some digging but a (nearly) overnight change with multiple ISOs and images affected with max size limits being hit, suggests something in common.
