Oh well, does "allow rawtherapee and other applications to support a much larger selection of digital cameras" configure a criterion for grant a FE?

As said in the ticket, this upgrade will "require a rebuild of the following packages in a side tag"
- deepin-image-viewer; dtk6gui; dtkgui; efl; elementary-photos; entangle; freeimage; geeqie... and 20 other more.

BetaFE -1

Yeah, this seems like a perfectly nice feature but there's no explanation for why it needs a freeze exception.

BetaFE -1

One question: if rejected, would this happen post-Beta before Final Freeze at least, so that we have the newer LibRaw for F44?

I suspect most people looking to do RAW editing would do it from an install, not a live environment, so they can get the new camera support as an update.

BetaFE -1

As long as updates-testing is enabled by default (it still is), most people will get it immediately, even during Beta freeze. And once Beta freeze is lifted, the maintainers can submit it to stable updates.

BetaFE -1

AGREED RejectedBetaFreezeException
