I'm glad we're increasing the quality requirements for our releases, but this bug might be stretching the default application functionality criterion a bit too far.
Meanwhile, nobody has proposed https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-calendar/-/issues/444 as a release blocker, though it's been causing people to miss meetings for years now. That's more serious than truncated URLs.
I agree with catanzaro. FinalBlocker -1 FinalFE +1
Good point,
I am +1 by the criteria which says, *Determining primary applications The usual way to determine a primary/default application is to look into system configuration where default applications are set (e.g. gnome-control-center -> Default Applications). * When a user installs a fresh F35, they go to settings > Default App, they see calendar set as default and one of the basic functionality is to resolve meeting links. I am glad to be just FE +1 anyway.
P.S : I missed one meeting, kept banging my head to figure out what went wrong for a few mins :D

I'm not convinced that this violates a "basic functionality test", but it is a pretty annoying bug. It would be good to get a fix in even if we don't block.
