Thanks @nielsenb for a good info, but it should go to bugzilla. I posted it there.

Mmmm, this is iffy. I can see the argument for considering this basic functionality, and certainly I'd like to see this fixed. But I don't think this would pass the final blocker test. So:

-1 FinalBlocker

Yeah, I really don't like this, but I don't think I would block a release on it. I think the Nextcloud bug I link above is closer since Nextcloud is part of the Gnome initial setup flow, but I still don't think I would block on it.

FinalBlocker -1

I'm two minds about this. In general, basic functionality of a file manager is managing files. But in case of Nautilus, connecting to remote servers is quite visible and easy to access, with an always visible menu item, automatically discovered network shares, etc. So if all network connections were broken, I'd vote for a blocker. However, only webdav connections are broken (it seems), so the impact is lessened and probably doesn't qualify.

At the same time, if I don't think solely about Nautilus as an application, but when I think about public folder sharing in GNOME as a defined functionality/feature, which is woven into the desktop... then it feels worse. File sharing is configurable from GNOME Settings, but also from Nautilus when you enter the ~/Public directory. There's a visible info bar and a button to launch the configuration dialog. Then you see public files from other GNOME computers on the local network auto-discovered in the Other Locations menu in Nautilus. All of this is a distinct feature of GNOME (not Nautilus), for which the basic functionality is broken. (This doesn't map directly to our criteria, though).

Discussed during the 2022-03-28 blocker review meeting: [0]

The decision to classify this bug as a "RejectedBlocker (Final)" and an "AcceptedFreezeException (Final)" was made as we agreed this goes beyond 'basic functionality', but does seem worth granting an FE to try and make sure the feature works on the live image.
