The keyboard shortcut settings hang is 100% reproducible for me in Persian. I can't reproduce it in other languages. To me, that makes it a blocker, but one that I'll vote to waive under the late blocker exception if it comes to it.
FinalBlocker 0
This seems bad, but also highly subject to circumstances, and I don't think those circumstances should prevent getting the system installed and a zero-day update applied (because it is a gtk4 thing). Regardless of the vote outcome, think this falls under the "late blocker exception" situation.
FinalFE +1
This is a close one, but I think I'm narrowly:
We have a workaround for this now, and I think it would make sense to spin an RC2 which includes it. We can then debate at go/no-go whether to waive this as a late blocker and ship RC1, or go ahead and ship RC2. The workaround seems safe and should only kick in when the bug happens, so it shouldn't really be able to make anything worse (since when the bug happens we're doomed to the app hanging anyway). We seem to keep finding more and more ways to trigger the problem; I ran into one quite by chance on a new laptop yesterday, and there are various folks hitting it in various ways upstream. Reproducers are usually very sensitive to the exact circumstances of window size, DPI, widget contents and so on, but there do seem to be quite a lot of them.
I don't think an update is entirely sufficient, especially since gnome-control-center is one of the apps affected, and that's certainly something folks will want/need to run on the live images.
FinalBlocker 0 FinalFE +1 I would waive under the late blocker exception, but nice to have if we have another slip
AGREED AcceptedFinalBlocker
Note, this doesn't preclude waiving it (in fact it's a required precursor). As outlined above I'm going to request an RC2 with this fix, then at go/no-go on Thursday we'll have both RC1 and RC2 as options and can decide what to do.
