The fact that it wasn't nominated as a blocker until I just did it makes me think maybe it shouldn't be. So I'll wait on that vote until there's been more discussion.

So the relevant criteria here are Basic "It must be possible to trigger a clean system shutdown using standard console commands" and Beta "Shutting down, rebooting, logging in and logging out must work using standard console commands and the mechanisms offered (if any) by all release-blocking desktops". This is obviously a conditional violation, the condition being "having mdraid". On the whole, I think that's a big enough potential set of people to be:
