#233 DNS lookup error when logging in
Closed: Fixed by kparal. Opened by ngompa.

When I try to log in so I can nominate RHBZ#2053790 as a F36 blocker bug, I get an HTTP 400 error with the following message:

Request Line is too large (5619 > 4094)

Neal, this happens before you even can see the Propose page? I tried logging in and out right now, it seems to work fine. I guess this might be related to our recent switch to Fedora's Openshift. Can you please retry today?

Yes, it happens when I click the propose bug page (which redirects me to the login page). It still happens now.

I nominated the bug manually, sorry for the troubles. I'm trying to find an infra person who'd help me debug and fix this issue.

We can't reproduce the error in our team. Neal, can you test this in a completely empty browser profile without any extensions (especially content blocking ones) installed? Or try to use a different browser? We need to figure out whether this is a server error or client-related. Thanks.

I get a different error right now when using a clean Firefox:

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request

Reason: DNS lookup failure for: worker03.ocp.iad2.fedoraproject.org

It's an infra issue (at least the DNS error, not sure about the Request Line error), filed here:

So, the DNS errors can be worked around, it seems, by force refreshing when you encounter it, see here.

Also, the original message Request Line is too large is a different problem, currently tracked in #238. I'll keep this issue related to the DNS error, and #238 related to that Request Line error.

I figured out what's going on: I had to delete my second SSH key from FAS, and now I can log in again.

Adding a second SSH key breaks it again.

Yes, I'll try to deal with that in #238

https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/10559 got resolved, hopefully the Proxy Error bug should be gone. Closing this one. The other half is in #238.
